Stated to be a Flax Dresser at sons marriage in 1871 . Grocer at sons death in 1939 at Back Street, Leslie, Fife is a cottage with Williams name across the door licenced to sell spirits. Photograph in records. However I think that his wife Euphemia was actually the Grocer but that as the male the licence and the shop was in her husbands name.
