  • Notes
    • She was the wife of William Ritch. Her obituary appeared in The Ridgefield Press 10/5/1944. Hulda Lane, which runs between Danbury and Haviland Roads, was named for Hulda Ritch, mother of Harold A. Ritch, who around 1954 subdivided the family homestead and included roads named Ritch Drive and Hulda Lane. The Ritches' land had been part of the large Haviland family farm, started in 1801 and operated by that family until 1920 when Reed Haviland sold the homestead and about 100 acres to the Ritch family. Harold Ritch later lived in Brookfield. He died in 1981.
