      GOUVERNEUR, SEPT. 23 --- Mrs Esther Hitchman Whitton Bresette 49, of the town of Hermon, wide of Leon Bresette, died Saturday night at 11:45 at Van Duzee Hospital three hours after she had been stricken ill on the porch of Dr. David Mills. Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage.
      Mrs. Bresette had called on Dr. Mills and shortly after he had put up some medicine for her, she stepped out on the to wait for her husband, who had gone into the main section of the village to purchase groceries. She collapsed while waiting and Dr. Mills, who was called, went out to the porch and sukkond an ambulance. She was unconscious when taken to the hospital.
      Funeral cervices will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 from her home, Rev. S. Frank Brown, Medthodist clergyman of Norfolk, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
      Mrs. Bresette was born in the town of Macomb, Sept. 13, 1897, the daughter of Levi and Cassi Elllsworth Hitchman. On Dec. 9, 1914, she was married to Archie Whitton in Gouverneur by Rev. Frank Brown. Mr. Whitton died in June, 1939. Mrs. Bresette was married to Leon Bresette in February, 1942. Rev. Joseph A. Schofield, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, performed the cermony.
      Mrs. Bresette is survived by he father, this village; her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Joe (Doris) Soto, Gouverneur; two sons, Archie and Lyal Whitton, both of Hermon; two sisters, Mrs. ernest (Bessie) Nichols, and Mrs. Harry (Anna) Thomas, both of Gouverneur; five brothers, Perle Hitchman, John Hitchman and David Hitchman, all of Gouverneur, Levi Hitchman, jr., and Forest Hitchman, both of Hermon; one step-son, Harold Bresette, Macomb; one
