      A death under peculiar circumstances was brought under the notice of the Rtz- <*> roy. police this afternoon. For come time Mrs. Fanny Waterman, widow, about

      aged 73, has occupied a tnxcall tenement in Cbwe?-street. off Fit—oy-estreet. and has , been a recipient of aid from the Hebrew Imdies* Benevolent Society. She has been nb'e to attend to her few small wants with out personal help, and was last sen ah'— iin the house on January 17. Tbe president of the Hebrew Ladiee' Society (Mrs. Gross) i this afternoon decided to visit the old lady, . and on going to the house found it locked. . She coin—uninted with the police, ?__ . Constable Brazier broke open the door. On - going inside he found the body of Mr*. r Waterman lying on the floor.
