    • LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Rosalie Elizabeth (Judy) Whitton 88, (formerly of Marion), died at appox. 10:45 p.m., Tues. July 12, 2011 in University of Louisville Hospital. She was born in Wabash County, Indiana to the late Frank and Goldie Enyeart. She married Dale Whitton on Mar. 27, 1943. He preceded her in death on May 16, 1991.

      Judy worked at Marion General Hospital for 44 years. Some of her other involvements included; 60 yrs. of membership at Grace Methodist Church and then God's Grace Methodist, Board of Directors at Hostess House, organize a volunteer program for the Marion Police Department, Board of Directors of Meals on Wheels, member PEO, American Society of Women Accountants, President of Grant County Easter Seal Society, President Marion Altrusa, President United Methodist women, and served within the church on many boards and as counselor and teacher. She also served as Vice President of 55 Speeders group and many years as a volunteer for the Marion Easter Pageant, working with the disciples for 15 years.

      Following a stroke in 2008, and moving to Louisville to live with her son and daughter-in-law, her body gave way to age and some health problems. She always had a great attitude and a smile for everyone she met. She at no time had pain and very few bad moments.

      Survivors include her son, Michael "Mick" (Rena) Whitton, Louisville, Kentucky; nieces, Ginny Bilby and family, Ft. Wayne, Ruthanna Nestleroad, and family; nephews, David Whitton and family, Ormond Beach, Fla., Jerry Whitton and family, Marion, Ind.

      Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2011 in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, Indiana. Burial will be in LaFontaine I. O. O. F. Cemetery, LaFontaine, Indiana.
