    • Mr. Dewey Dalfin Whitton, Jr., age 68, of Cedartown, Ga., passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 8, 2011. Mr. Whitton was born on September 11, 1942 in Polk County to his parents, the late Dewey D. & Edna Goss Whitton, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Annette Whitton Gay, and his son, Zachary D. Whitton. He was a veteran, & had proudly served with the United States Army. He was a member of the Brewster - Cleveland Post 86 of the American Legion and was a member of the Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church of Cedartown.

      Mr. Whitton is survived by his wife, Kathy Sellers Whitton, his daughter & son in law, Kelly & Mike McComb, his brothers, Jerry A. Whitton and Wayne N. Whitton, his sisters & brother in law, Amy W. Edge and Suzy & Kreg Hubbard, his grandchildren, Bailey Howle, Gracie Howle, Zac McComb & Regan Cargal. A number of nieces & nephews also survive.

      Funeral services for Mr. Dewey Dalfin Whitton, Jr. will be conducted on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Kulp & Mr. Doc Ayers officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, January 14, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home.
