    • Anderson - Mona E. Girton Whitton, 72, Anderson, died June 26, 2007 at Residence after an extended illness. She was born September 1, 1934 in Anderson, Indiana, was a lifelong Anderson resident. Mona had worked for General Motors, Anderson Optical and was a licensed beautician. She was a homemaker for the last 36 years. She was a graduate of Anderson High School. She was a member of Central Christian Church. She was a member of Pendleton Chapter of the O.E.S. #138. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, shopping and traveling. She loved all of her grandchildren which were so close to her heart. She is survived by her husband whom she married August 24, 1968, Gerald Whitton; three children, Richard Kathy Whitton of Schererville, Barbara David Moore of Markleville and Marsha Darrell Baldwin of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; a brother, Larry Lois Girton of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Roslie Don Hawkins of Yuma, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Suzanne and Stephanie Whitton, Ryan Heather Gillespie, Amber Moore, and Aaron, Ashley and Mary Alma Baldwin; and two great grandchildren, Hunter Lee and Hannah Leann Gillespie; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Debbie, Tina, Kelly, Spencer, and Dr. Jaradat at the Dialysis Clinic and Lenora, Tracey and Robin at Daybreak for all their special care. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence & Lillian Benzenbauer Girton. Services will be Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 2:30 PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Rev. Paul Whitton officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM on Friday, June 29, 2007 at funeral home's south chapel.
