      Passed peacefully away on Sunday, June 23, 2002 at her home in the presence of her family, Elizabeth (Betty) Katherine Boyd (nee Pardy) at the age of 80. She will be greatly missed by her daughters Joan Whitton and Connie (Foster) Lamswood; grandchildren Tara (Jeff) Gillam, Donald (Darlene) Whitton, Scott (Sherri McNeil) Lamswood, Mark Lamswood and Jeff Lamswood; great-grandchildren Kristen and Kaitlynn Gillam, Alex and Rachel Whitton, Jamie and Ryan McNeil Lamswood; brother William Pardy; sisters Olive Smith, Grace (Raymond) Squires and Judith Brittain; sisters-in-law Margaret Pardy and Kathleen Pardy; and a large number of relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband William Donald Boyd (April 2000), son-in-law Bramford Whitton (1988), grandson Terry Lorne Whitton (1966), sisters Charlotte Davison and Flora Hancock, brothers Dick, Edgar and Elmer Pardy, and parents William and Susannah Pardy. Visitation was held at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue. The funeral service took place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25 from the Anglican Cathedral of St. John The Evangelist, Main Street, Corner Brook with the Very Rev. Lorne Gosse officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Patricia Cemetery . As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Anglican Cathedral of St. John The Evangelist Restoration Fund
