      WHITTON, Robert William - Passed away peacefully on Friday June 30, 2017 at Parkwood Mennonite LTC, Waterloo at the age of 95.

      Survived by his five children affectionately known as 'The Five Marvelous Pretzels', Lezley Prokop, Paul Leatherbarrow, Elizabeth Whitton, Robin Leatherbarrow, Shelagh Currah; his grandchildren, Vincent, Victor, Joe Nosko; Olivia Whitton; John and Kate Leatherbarrow, and his great-grandchildren Vivian Whitton; Maxim Curry; Milo, Julius, and Remi Caporicci; and a brother Don Whitton.

      Remembered for his love of life, his love for the peacefulness and beauty of Northern Ontario and especially his love for his family. Bob enjoyed a long career at the University of Waterloo and was a founding member of the Unitarian Congregation. He will be missed.

      The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Parkwood Mennonite LTC for their kindness and care provided to Bob in his final years.
