    • CLUCAS V. CLUCAS. 1895

Joseph Clucas, truant inspector, petitioned for a divorce from his wife, Charlotte Dorothy Clucas, on the ground of her misconduct with James Powell. Mr. Woolf appeared for the petitioner, and the respondent was undefended.

It appeared that the parties were married in 1883, at which time the respondent was a governess. After her marriage she gave way to intemperance, and in 1887 a separation was arranged, the respondent receiviing 15s. a week as an allowance. Hearing that his wife was living in the same room with the co- respondent at a boarding-house in Fitzroy- street, Fitzroy, he instituted the present pro- ceedings.
