      in "The Scotsman" newspaper of 5th November 1898 page 12 report of Adams death
      in "The Scotsman" newspaper of 21st January 1899 there was an article about a Court Case under the Workmans compensation Act in which Mrs Agnes Bonthrone or Whitton sought to recover from Bell and Time Ltd (Timber Merchants) £163 compensation for the death of her husband a Carter. It was stated that on 4th November last to take a cart of wood to a building in course of contruction in Rockfield Street. Whilst proceeding along a road through a field on the farm of Blackness the cart was accidentially overturned and Whitton who was sitting on the top of the wood was thrown beneath the cart and killed. case continued
