      Georgia (Grube) Whitton, age 65, of Holland Patent, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2009, with her loved ones by her side. She was born in Millinocket, ME, on November 15, 1943, the daughter of George and Gladys (Harrer) Taylor. Georgia grew up in Moorehouseville, NY, and attended Poland Central Schools. In 1986, in Poland, she was married to Roger Whitton. Roger preceded her in 1998. For a number of years, she was employed at the Marcy Psychiatric Center as a therapy aide. Georgia was a very energetic woman. She enjoyed the great outdoors and loved shopping and decorating. Georgia is survived by her son, Donald Grube, Remsen, NY; a daughter, Liza Grube and her partner, Kristine Swenszkowski, Holland Patent; a granddaughter, Ashley Swenszkowski; a cherished grandson, DMarco Smith; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Victoria and Russ Ries, Holland Patent, and Carmen Austin, New Hartford. She also leaves an aunt, Carolyn Foss, CT. A special thank you to all of our family and friends who helped through this long journey. Thank you to Dr. Mangala Patil and the North Utica medical staff. Mrs. Whittons funeral will be held Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. at the Heintz Funeral Home, 408 Herkimer Rd., N. Utica. Her burial will be at the convenience of her family. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 prior to her service. -
