WELBURN, Bernadette M.
Bernadette Marie Welburn passed from this life on December 29, 2016. Bernadette "Bernie" moved with her young family to Palm Beach County in the late 1960's, and made her home there until her death. Bernie was known for her feisty personality, generous spirit, and devotion to her family. She was the cherished mother of Leslie M. Ritch (David McIntosh) and grandmother of Madison Marie McIntosh. In healthier days, Bernie loved to cook, dance, and read cozy mysteries. Her joy in later life was Madison, and her pride in Madison's accomplishments was boundless. Her sons, Mark W. Ritch and James K. Ritch; her husband, Robert Welburn; her parents, Alexander and Stella Kujawski; and her half-sister, Frances Kujawski Koss preceded her in death. Bernie is also survived by grandchildren (Anthony, Austin, and Alexandra Ritch); great-grandchildren; sister, Tina Setla; brother, Al Kujawski; several generations of nieces and nephews; and friends. A private Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann Catholic Church in West Palm Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be sent to: L.M. Artists, Inc., 901 North Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33401.
