    • Mrs. Ritch was born Jan. 24, 1931 in Ducktown, Tennessee, and lived in Blue Ridge, Ga. during her childhood years. She attended Brenau College and graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Art; later, she received a master's degree in media science. She was a member of the University Band and Orchestra, and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. In 1955 she married, and she and her husband moved to Newnan where John Ritch was a band director in the Coweta school system. During her years in Newnan, she was very much involved in the First Baptist Church in the adult choir, Sunday School and children's missions programs, and in the church's ministry to deaf members. In recent years, she also participated in the women's Bible study class, the adult bell choir, and the church library ministry. She was an educator in the Coweta school system, serving at Eastside, Fairmount, Evans and Central schools, retiring in 1992.

      She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Otis F. Hall.

      In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Regina Hall of Blue Ridge, Ga.; brother, Don and Carolyn Hall of Blue Ridge; daughters and sons-in-law, Jill and Mike Exner, Rebecca and Bud Freeburg, and Jeannie and Craig Bryan; grandchildren, Ansley and Erin Exner, Joanna and Mary Freeburg, and Laura, Rachel and Jack Bryan, all of Newnan; nephew, Mark Hall of Asheville, North Carolina; aunt, Frances Parris of Woodstock.
